Abstract:
Chapter seven talked about the classroom environment we create. We have to consider all of the different intelligences when we try to make a comfortable environment. One of the suggestions is to make activity centers for each intelligence. There are many different activity centers. You can create activity centers where students can learn about the different intelligences, and there are activity centers where students will do the same activities specific to their intelligence. As long as we try to incorporate all eight intelligences, our students will feel more comfortable in our classrooms. We can also change the environment of our classrooms by changing the seating arrangement in the class.
Reflection:
It seemed that the class really liked this chapter. We especially liked the ideas of the activity centers. However, we do have concern with the space we are given to hold these activity centers and whether these centers are age appropriate. We also really like the idea of changing the seating arrangements in our classrooms. We all are interested in creating good classroom environments and will go beyond activity centers and seating arrangements to make our classrooms better.

I really liked the second link. I liked the part that said that desks placed in rows is good for custodians but not good for students. Very helpful!
I would agree with Mike, I really liked the second link. I think it gave great insight on the most effective ways of seating. I did like the first link also because it went into to great depth about the multiple intelligences.
All in all, I thought that the review of chapter seven in Multiple Intelligences in the classroom was very accurate.
When I was searching through the links, I realized that I was actually looking at the one on classroom arrangement last night. I thought that this was a really great chapter because it spent a lot of time discussing how the classroom arrangement can really affect the learning environment.
The second link on class activity centers was great and I really enjoyed the quote that was at the top of the page my Margaret Mead. This website offered many general examples of activity centers that can be used for each specific intelligence. I also thought it was interesting that there were statistics showing that this method can be beneficial. The rest of the material was a great review of what we have been learning this semester.
I thought the summary of chapter seven was spot on; the idea of activity centers was definitely a big part of the chapter, as was comfort and safety levels. The link was really interesting because of the specific examples of different materials to put in the activity centers. Some of the examples were some that I personally would not have considered; the music center featured both composing songs and making original instruments. The latter is something I would have surpassed entirely. I also found it interesting that the link provided specific results from using this form of MI adaptation. The skills that were more fully developed, like responsibility, reduced discipline issues, and improved academic achievement are all specific results from using the activity centers.
